Trust is both and emotional and logical act. Emotionally, it is where you expose your vulnerabilities to people, but believing they will not take advantage of your openness. Logically, it is where you have assessed the probabilities of gain and loss, calculating expected utility based on hard performance data, and concluded that the person in question will behave in a predictable manner. In practice, trust is a bit of both. I trust you because I have experienced your trustworthiness and because I have faith in human nature.

We feel trust. Emotions associated with trust include companionship, friendship, love, agreement, relaxation, comfort.

There are a number of different ways we can define trust. Here are the dimensions of trust and consequent definitions.

Predictability
It is a normal part of the human condition to be constantly forecasting ahead. We build internal models of the world based both on our experiences and what others tell us, and then use these to guess what will happen next. This allows us to spot and prepare for threats and also make plans to achieve our longer-term goals.

The greatest unpredictability is at 50%; a reliable enemy can be preferable to an unpredictable friend, as at least we know where we are with them.

Definition 1: Trust means being able to predict what other people will do and what situations will occur. If we can surround ourselves with people we trust, then we can create a safe present and an even better future.

Value exchange
Most of what we do with other people is based around exchange, which is the basis for all businesses as well as simple relationships. At its simplest, it is exchange of goods. I will swap you two sheep for one cow. It is easy to calculate the value in such material bargaining. Things get more complex when less tangible forces come into play. A parent exchanges attention for love. A company exchanges not only pay but good working conditions for the intellectual and manual efforts of its workforce.

Value exchange works because we each value things differently. If I have a whole flock of sheep but no milk, then I can do business with a person who has a herd of cows but no clothes. This principle of reciprocity is what binds societies together.

Trust in value exchange occurs when we do not know fully whether what we are receiving is what we expect. When we buy a car, don’t want to be sold a ringer which the seller knows is faulty. When I get advice in business, I want it to be based on facts, not wild opinions.

Definition 2: Trust means making an exchange with someone when you do not have full knowledge about them, their intent and the things they are offering to you

1.Say it. When you say the words "I Love You", they should carry with them the desire to show someone that you love them, not what you simply want to feel. When you say it make sure you really mean it and are willing to do anything for that special person.
2.Empathize. Put yourself in someone else's shoes. Rather than impose your own expectations or attempt to control them, try to understand how they feel, where they come from, and who they are. Realize how they could also love you back just as well.
3.Love unconditionally. If you cannot love another person without attaching stipulations, then it is not love at all, but deep-seated opportunism (one who makes the most of an advantage, often unmindful of others). If your interest is not in the other person as such, but rather in how that person can enhance your experience of life, then it is not unconditional. If you have no intention of improving that person’s life, or allowing that person to be themselves and accepting them as they are, and not who you want them to be, then you are not striving to love them unconditionally.
4.Expect nothing in return. That doesn't mean you should allow someone to mistreat or undervalue you. It means that giving love does not guarantee receiving love. Try loving just for the sake of love. Realize that someone may have a different way of showing his or her love for you, do not expect to be loved back in exactly the same way.
5.Realize it can be lost. If you realize that you can lose the one you love, then you have a greater appreciation of what you have. Think how lucky you are to have someone to love. Don't make an idol of the person you love. This will place them under undue pressure and will likely result in you losing them

40 something true I am but I have my life in order. Wasting money on a show instead of paying my rent I would never do. I have my life in check and know where I am going. Wish I had time to sit at a computer and know every detail of someone's myspace page. What's that old saying never judge a book by it's cover I believe in this a book can look good on the outside but once you read it you find it was trash on the inside. You can polish an old car and make it look good but inside it's still old. Some people in this town need to learn words so today in class the word of the day is RESPECT.... Look it up!!!

well i have 4 days till i start my new job. i have to say this month and half off of work as made me a new person in so many ways. i have never had to depend on someone and have someone take care of me. my eyes have seen a whole new world of so many things, so called friends, never calling or even asking if i need anything,Family what a laugh, but yet my true love stood by my side and put up with my moods and yet he still loves me.(thank You). anyways i haven't wrote for awhile,i needed some me time only and i am back and ready for whatever the world has to teach me and show me and watch out world wallee is back..

well i went with my b/f to hard rock in tampa it was great, did stuff around the house watched the car race,today got my hair cut and chillin out.

well lets see it's been a Little over a year now and my boyfriend loves to scare me daily, sometimes hourly. Have you ever noticed when you ask someone not to do something they do it more? my boyfriends aunt is the same way, one day i was bent over in the front yard by the curb and her husband drove the car right behind me and blew the horn i about shit my pants. well i am now learning news ways to scare them back, but I'll be a fool they get me back 10 times harder. like when i am shaving hello i have a razor in my hand or when i have a qtip in my ear,when I'm watching TV, when i am in the shower.Now i know why i have to dye my hair every 3 weeks.my boyfriends favorite saying is "it's funny till someone dies and then it's fucking hilarious". Hello i think when I'm stiff as a board they all will be laughing. Somebody help me....

well i have been off for a little over a month and I'm over being the house boy.
my boyfriend seems to come up with this Honey do list. i don't mind some of them but my god i am so over it.(lol) being here all day with the dogs and the cat and getting fat omg.... well only 2 weeks left and I'm back to working full time...so what do people do with all this time on there hands??

The Stress in my life

Well let me start by saying thank God for my boyfriend being a true person. Last month I was fired from my job that one of my so called friend/coworker did. Well anyway's the care home that I was working for is falling apart day by day and now trying to fight my unemployment and my boyfriend has been hauling all the bills on his back. Well last week I got a job with less stress and more money..

So this weekend we did a lot of fun stuff, we make a great team. We had friends over Ryan and his boyfriend for dinner cocktails and hot tub and the pool. It was great, I needed it to get out of my feel sorry for myself mood. We laughed and danced and talked it was so fun. I miss all of my old friends, but now it's time to make new ones. Life to me is not about tons of friends but how many true ones I have. well that's all so far about my weekend I'll write more soon.

Well lets see about the story below, I went to give blood and because I am a gay male HIV- I was told I am not aloud to give blood. I am in good health and have nothing wrong with my blood but yet NO NO NO. Oh they ask on the app if your a gay male or have you had same sex in the last 20 years. Then this shows up in the paper. Come on people our blood is tested and you need blood so what is the deal....

SARASOTA . FL- Suncoast Communities Blood Bank is making an advanced effort to avert an imminent critical blood shortage. Local demand for blood is high but donations are slim. Currently, there is less than a two day blood supply.

Blood shortages have historically occurred in March. With continual demand for blood and the 42 day shelf life of red blood cells and 5 day shelf life of Platelets it is not uncommon for blood supplies to run low. In the past factors such as full patient census at the hospitals and open heart surgeries have contributed to the need.

According to Peter Taylor, Director of Marketing at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, "The hospital is experiencing a high demand for blood -for both emergencies and for patients who rely on blood donations for routine treatments and procedures."
